"Baishi" is a tour of one and the same musical place.
That of loose skins, bright strings and brass colors.
The writing, constructed in "tableaux" around stretched-out melodies, plays on density, piling up and tumbling down lines, building reliefs more than pieces over an ample, elastic tempo.
The amplification of brass instruments attempts to blend harmonies and rhythms into an organic, homogeneous sound magma, pulsed by a reverberating guitar/drum duo.
For fans of Noh music, Gagaku and Igor Stravinsky.
Alan Regardin : trumpet, flugelhorn
Alexis Perisgan : trombone
Axel Gaudron : batterie & percussions
Thomas Leuwers : barytone guitar, compositions
